Niederegger

The world's largest marzipan brand

Dating back to the 19th century, Johann Georg Niederegger discovered a delectable delicacy, initially from the Orient. He instantly fell in love with the flavour and invented his own marzipan, sourcing the finest almonds and sugars from across the globe, to create a delicious curative paste, famously known today as Niederegger.

Since opening the first store in the German town of Lubeck in 1806, the Niederegger brand grew thanks to its excellent quality and taste, and is now a popular household name in the UK. The recipe was simple; use as many almonds as possible and as little sugar as necessary. This moto was passed on through generation to generation, allowing Niederegger to have grown into the strong and luxury brand that it stands today.

The festive range for 2019 includes their famous Santa advent calendar which has 31 marzipan, chocolate and praline treats to see you through to the 1st January. If you have been lucky enough to get your hands on one of these in the past, you will know that the build up to Christmas is incomplete without one. Other advent calendars in the range include the 25 window winter scene and their Christmas tree.

If you are a lover of German fruit cake, it is only right you try the Niederegger marzipan stollen made with the finest sultanas and almonds, also known as Christollen.

For the kids (and adults too), there are Christmas Stars and Santas which are an excellent stocking filler, or choose the impressive variations box which has 89 pieces to share with the family after your Christmas feast.

Lastly, Lakeland are excited to launch the Niederegger Marzipan Cappuccino, so you can finally enjoy the sweet flavours in a jolly good drink.

Let your senses do the talking whist you discover the Niederegger range, and it will soon become clear as to why Niederegger has quickly become a Christmas tradition.
