The Producers, Hatale is a Fair Trade Group in Nepal which focuses on developing traditional Nepali craft industries, to improve the living standards of producers, workers and their families from rural areas of the country through Fair Trade practises. With over 300 employees, more than 80% of whom are women from nearby villages, Hatale aims to improve employees' social and economic wellbeing. They benefit from good wages above minimum wage, good working conditions, maternity leave, paid leave, bonus payments and a retirement fund. Hatale also pays for the education of employees? children up to the age of 15.
