When Gordon Arnett first opened his cake shop in the pretty Yorkshire town of Beverley in 1946, little did he know that over seventy years later the family would still be making teatime special.

Passionate about baking and confectionery, the Arnett family breathed new life into the Cartwright & Butler brand when they acquired it at the start of the decade. It's now a well-loved fine foods brand, not only here but in over forty countries worldwide.
